Aurora
Aurora is next door to our Newmarket base. We paint interiors, exteriors, trim and kitchen cabinets for Aurora homes, from village houses near Yonge and Wellington to the larger homes in Aurora Highlands and the Hills of St. Andrew.
Many Aurora homes have rooms that are harder to paint well: two-storey foyers, open stairwells, vaulted family rooms and long runs of wainscoting, crown and panelled millwork. These rooms need the right ladders and staging, careful cutting at ceiling lines, and a smooth enamel on trim that won't show brush marks in raking light from big windows.
In newer areas such as Bayview Wellington and Aurora Grove, owners often want to replace builder beige with a calmer, more considered palette and a more washable finish. In the older homes around Aurora Village, plaster repairs and old oil-based trim need extra prep before the new paint.
Aurora's Northeast Old Aurora Heritage Conservation District has its own plan. The Town's heritage permit guide lists painting among the works that don't need a heritage permit in that district, while bigger changes such as new cladding, windows or porches do. Individually designated properties can have their own conditions, so if your home is on Aurora's heritage register, check with the Town's heritage planning staff before making exterior changes.
A free on-site visit, a written, itemized quote that lists surfaces, prep and coats, full protection of floors and furniture, daily tidy-up, and a final walkthrough. Work we perform comes with a 1-year warranty. Our team brings 15 years of renovation experience in Ontario.

Yes. High walls and stairwells are planned at the free visit so the right ladders or staging are on site, and the quote lists them separately so you can see what they involve.
According to the Town of Aurora's heritage permit guide, painting doesn't need a heritage permit in the Northeast Old Aurora Heritage Conservation District. Larger exterior changes do, and designated properties can have their own conditions, so check with the Town if you're unsure.
Yes. Cabinet refinishing is degreasing, sanding, a bonding primer and an even topcoat on doors, drawer fronts and frames. It updates the kitchen with far less upheaval than replacement.
