If there's danger, call 911 first

Gas smell: leave the home, then call 911 or your gas utility's emergency number from outside.
Fire, smoke, sparking or burning smell from outlets or panels: get everyone out and call 911.
Water near electrical: stay out of the water. Only switch off the breaker if you can reach the panel safely and dry.

What to do while you wait

Shut off the main water valve if there's a leak. It's often near where the water line enters the house, usually in the basement.
Protect belongings and move them away from water.
Take photos and video for your insurance company.

After the emergency

Once the immediate problem is fixed, we can restore the space properly with a free on-site estimate for the repair, whether that's a patch and paint or a fuller bathroom or kitchen renovation. Work we perform comes with a 1-year warranty. Damage caused after handover (for example by misuse or accidents) isn't covered. This warranty is in addition to your rights under Ontario law.

Can I call you for an emergency outside business hours?

Our hours are Monday to Saturday, 7 AM to 6 PM, and we are closed on Sunday. Call us during those hours and we'll tell you honestly when we can help. If there's immediate danger, call 911.

Who does plumbing and electrical repairs?

Plumbing and electrical repairs are completed through our licensed partner contractors. We coordinate the visit and any repairs to finishes afterward.

What should I do first if a pipe bursts?

Shut off your main water valve, turn off electricity to wet areas only if you can do it safely, move valuables away from the water and take photos for insurance. Then call us.

What if I smell gas?

Leave the home immediately, don't use switches or phones inside, and call 911 or your gas utility's emergency number from outside. Don't call a renovation contractor first.

Can you repair the damage after the emergency is fixed?

Yes. After the leak or electrical issue is resolved, we can repair drywall, flooring, trim and paint as part of a normal renovation estimate.
